Science comes to Park Slope! The World Science Festival and Con Edison invite people of all ages to explore City of Science, a buzzing mini-metropolis of action and fun. The wondrous properties of science, technology, engineering, and math come to life with interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities. Join the Park Slope Civic Council’s Sustainability Committee at its annual fall beautification, recycling and clean-up event — the Fall Civic Sweep on Sunday, October 16, 2016, free and open to all. Put on your old clothes and come to the sidewalk in front of Old Stone House, 5th Avenue between 3rd and 4th Streets, rain or shine, to join other volunteers in sweeping up litter and leaves, weeding and mulching tree pits and painting out graffiti on lampposts and mailboxes. There will be refreshments and a daffodil bulb-give away. Community Service vouchers will be available. Email email@example.com with questions.
