REGISTERING AT PS 321
All NYC families with children born in 2012 may apply to Kindergarten for the 2017-2018 school year from November 30, 2016 through January 13, 2017. Families can apply online via the Dept. of Education’s application site; by phone at 718-935-2400, or in person at a Family Welcome Center. Go to the DOE website’s Kindergarten page to learn more about Kindergarten Admissions and to download the 2017 Kindergarten Directory.
We do not offer Pre-K instruction.
Our school tours for prospective families were held Thursday, December 8 and Friday, December 16, 2016. Our 2017-2018 school tour dates will be announced in the Fall of 2017 and will coincide with the DOE’s online Kindergarten enrollment period. Tours start at 9:00 am and no pre-registration is required. We can not accommodate individual requests for tours, but prospective families are welcome to contact Deb Orr, the parent coordinator.
To check the school zone for an address, please use the “Find a School” search tool on the home page on the Department of Education’s website: schools.nyc.gov.
NEW ARRIVALS/GRADES 1 -5
Newly arrived, zoned families of students in grades K – 5 who wish to enroll their child for the current school year should contact Parent Coordinator Deb Orr in advance of a move, and call the main office to schedule an appointment upon arrival. Children can not be registered prior to a move; they must already be in residence at an address zoned for our school.
For newly arrived, zoned families with children in Grades 1 – 5 who wish to enroll for the 2017-2018 school year, registration dates will be announced in the Spring of 2017, once all Kindergarten registrations have been processed. Families of children who will be entering Kindergarten in fall of 2017 and who missed the online registration deadline may come in for an appointment at that time as well.
In order to enroll, bring your child and the following documents:
Birth Certificate or Passport and your child’s immunization records.
Report card and IEP (if applicable)
Along with copies of the above. We cannot register your child if any of these documents (2 proofs of address, proof of birthdate and immunizations) are missing.
(*At least one gas or electric utility bill must be presented. Alternate proofs of address can be a 2015 W-2 form, income tax returns, current water bill, co-op/condo papers, insurance, deed or mortgage statement.)
