REGISTERING AT PS 321
2017-2018 REGISTRATION FOR NEW ARRIVALS/GRADES 1-5
Newly arrived families residing within the PS 321 zone may enroll their children at the school during the week of May 8 – May 12, between 9:00 am – 11:00 am. Families of children who will be entering Kindergarten in fall of 2017 and who missed the online registration deadline may also come in during that time. No appointment is necessary, but new registrants should drop by the school’s main office a week or two beforehand to pick up a Registration packet. Filling it out in advance will make registration go more smoothly.
Registration for Fall 2017 for grades 1- 5 is not first-come, first-served. Children can not be registered in advance of a move; they must already be in residence at an address zoned for our school. We will have additional registration dates through the summer and will be posting those by the end of the current school year.
Newly arrived, zoned families of students in grades K – 5 who wish to enroll their child for the current school year should contact Parent Coordinator Deb Orr in advance of a move, and call the main office to schedule an appointment upon arrival.
In order to enroll, bring your child and the following documents:
Birth Certificate or Passport and your child’s immunization records.
Report card and IEP (if applicable)
Along with copies of the above. We cannot register your child if any of these documents (2 proofs of address, proof of birthdate and immunizations) are missing.
(*At least one gas or electric utility bill must be presented. Alternate proofs of address can be a 2016 W-2 form, income tax returns, current water bill, co-op/condo papers, insurance, deed or mortgage statement.)
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION FOR 2018-2019
Our 2017-2018 school tour dates will be announced in the Fall of 2017 and will coincide with the DOE’s online Kindergarten enrollment period. Tours start at 9:00 am and no pre-registration is required. We can not accommodate individual requests for tours, but prospective families are welcome to contact Deb Orr, the parent coordinator.
To check the school zone for an address, please use the “Find a School” search tool on the home page on the Department of Education’s website: schools.nyc.gov.
