PS 321’s 18th Annual Food Drive will run from February 6 – February 10. We will be collecting items for CHiPs, a local food pantry that traditionally has served 200 meals a day to members of our community in need. As many of you recently have read, in addition to its regular client base, CHiPs is now serving an influx of asylum seekers who were bussed to NYC and are staying in neighborhood shelters. There are many families who are now relying on CHiPs for a meal each day and supplies are running low. Donation bins will be located inside the front doors. Most needed items include: granola bars, cookies, juice, cereals, shelf stable milk, microwaveable rice packs and bean packs, chips, large plastic containers of peanut butter and jelly, mayonnaise, canned tuna, soup, pasta, beans, sauces (canned, boxed or bagged — no glass jars) and Ziploc bags. Please no expired food.
The need is greater than ever, so we hope you will consider making a contribution.
