Parent Safety - Working with the Administration on Safety Plans and Initiatives
The Parent Safety Committee: is a liaison between parents and school staff for monitoring the School Safety Plan developed by staff for the DOE. We review security needs, Internet safety, emergency preparedness, and health concerns, and offer a parent perspective and volunteer support as needed. Volunteers are needed to be morning hall monitors, to help direct people at drop-off in the main lobby and mini school. We greet the children, encourage parents to enter and exit properly, and help the security staff monitor the entrances and exits.
