REGISTERING AT PS 321
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION FOR FALL 2019
All NYC families with children born in 2014 may apply to Kindergarten for the 2019-2020 school year. The online Kindergarten application period has now closed for 2019. Offer letters will be sent by the DOE sometime in March. For newly arrived families who wish to enroll their child for Fall 2019, we will be posting walk-in registration dates sometime in late April/May. Please check the website for updates at that time. Go to the DOE website’s Kindergarten page to learn more about Kindergarten Admissions and to download the 2019 Kindergarten Directory.
We do not offer Pre-K instruction.
Our school tours for prospective parents were held on December 4th and December 11th, 2018; there are no more dates scheduled for the 2018-2019 school year. We can not accommodate individual requests for tours, but prospective families are welcome to contact Deb Orr, the parent coordinator.
For families who are arriving in the 321 school zone and who wish to enroll their child for the current school year, please contact Parent Coordinator Deb Orr in advance of your move, and call our main office to schedule an appointment once you have arrived. Children can not be registered prior to a move; they must already be in residence at an address zoned for our school. We enroll all zoned students in grades 1 – 5; we do not have a waitlist for in-zone students in those grades.
For newly arrived families with children in Grades 1 – 5 who live in the 321 school zone and who wish to enroll for the 2019-2020 school year, walk-in registration dates will be announced later in the Spring, once all Kindergarten registrations have been processed.
In order to enroll, bring your child and the following documents:
Birth Certificate or Passport and your child’s immunization records.
Report card and IEP (if applicable)
Along with one copy of all of the above.
We cannot register your child if any of these documents (2 proofs of address, proof of birthdate and immunizations) are missing.
(*At least one gas or electric utility bill must be presented. Alternate proofs of address can be a 2017 W-2 form, income tax returns, current water bill, co-op/condo papers, insurance, deed or mortgage statement.)
To check the school zone for an address, please use the “Find a School” search tool on the home page on the Department of Education’s website: schools.nyc.gov.
