Rules
Players turn over 2 cards at a time (more advanced players can turn over 4 or 6 cards at a time). Players should use the included t-chart to sort the cards that have a difference greater than 10 as “far apart,” and the cards that have a difference less than 10 as “close together.” As play continues, consider having conversations about strategies used by players. They might start to notice that full computation is not necessary when playing, which can lead to rich conversations about place value and other big math ideas!
