REGISTRATION FOR FALL 2024

Kindergarten & Pre-K Registration for SY 2024-25:

May 2024 update: We are currently handling registration for our Kindergarten and pre-K students who applied through MySchools.nyc. The deadline for K applicants to accept their offers was May 3rd. The deadline for pre-K applicants to accept their offer through MySchools is June 14. We will contact all families who have received seat offers via email. There is no need to call the school.

All NYC families with children born in 2019 may apply to Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year. For incoming K families that arrived after the January registration deadline, you may still apply for Kindergarten by updating your address in MySchools.nyc or contacting the Family Welcome Center to be added to our zoned applicant waitlist. We are also excited to announce that our pre-K, K and 1st grades will be attending PS 321’s new Lower School, at 763 President St. We are still in the planning stages and the site is under construction until late summer 2024, so visits are not possible at this time. Our arrival and dismissal times will be staggered 10 minutes later than those at the Upper School. Kids Orbit plans on offering their afterschool program at our Lower School, and we also plan on offering Early Bird and free breakfast there as well. Please stay tuned for more details as we get closer to Fall.

Each fall, PS 321 holds one in-person tour and one virtual info session for prospective families. Our in-person tour and virtual info session are generally in late November/early December. Tours are come-one, come-all, no RSVP required. Prospective families of students from grades K – 5 are welcome to attend. These are the only full tours we offer each school year. We are not able to accommodate individual tour requests, but the virtual info session from Fall 2023 is available for viewing on our website.

NEW ARRIVALS/GRADES 1 -5

Registration for SY 2024 – 25:

We will be registering new students in Grades 1 – 5 for Fall 2024 enrollment in late May or June, date TBA. If your family is living at an address zoned for our school and you wish to have your child attend PS 321 in the fall, you may email Parent Coordinator Deb Orr (parentcoordinator@ps321.info) with your child’s name, date of birth and your zoned address. She will save your email and follow up with next steps once registration opens for new arrivals grades 1 – 5, or you may check for updates on this page.

If you wish to enroll your child for the current school year, contact Deb with your child’s full name, date of birth and your zoned address. She will send you a link to our Family Info Form to start the registration process. School forms and a link to upload the required documents (listed below) will be sent after that form is completed; please do not email your documents until you receive an invite to do so.

Registration for new students will be conducted online for the 2024-25 school year. If you do not have internet access, please contact Deb for alternate arrangements.

Children can not be registered prior to a move; they must currently be in residence at an address zoned for our school. We enroll all zoned students in grades 1 – 5; registration in these grades is not first-come, first served, and we do not have a waitlist for in-zone students in those grades. Registration for new arrivals will continue through the summer months. We can only enroll zoned students at this time. In order to register, families will be required to submit the documents listed below, along with their child’s latest report card (optional but recommended), and IEP (if applicable).

Documents for Registration, K – 5:

In order to enroll your child, you will need to upload:

2 proofs of address – Con Edison and National Grid utility bills preferred*.
Birth Certificate or Passport.
Your child’s full immunization records. Go HERE for a list of required immunizations.
IEP (if applicable).

(*At least one gas or electric utility bill/welcome letter should be presented. Alternate proofs of address can be a W-2 or payroll receipt dated within the past 60 days, current property tax bill, current water bill, letter from a government agency dated within the past 60 days, co-op/condo papers, insurance, deed, signed lease or mortgage statement.)

For the registration process, we will have an online portal available for families to upload their documents and required forms (please don’t email them straight to us).

PS 321’s tours for the school year were held in December. We are sorry but we cannot accommodate individual tours. A recording of our 11/30/23 Virtual Info Session is posted HERE.
