REGISTRATION FOR FALL 2023

NEW ARRIVALS/GRADES 1 -5

Fall 2023 Registration:

We are registering newly arrived students throughout the summer for Fall 2023 enrollment. If your family is living at an address zoned for our school and you wish to have your child attend PS 321 in the fall, please email Parent Coordinator Deb Orr parentcoordinator@ps321.info) with your child’s full name, date of birth and your zoned address.  She will send you a link to our Family Info Form to start the registration process. School forms and a link to upload the required documents (listed below) will be sent after that form is completed; please do not email your documents until you receive an invite to do so.

Registration for new students will be conducted online for the 2023-24 school year. If you do not have internet access, please contact Deb for alternate arrangements.

Children can not be registered prior to a move; they must currently be in residence at an address zoned for our school. We enroll all zoned students in grades 1 – 5; registration in these grades is not first-come, first served, and we do not have a waitlist for in-zone students in those grades. We can only enroll zoned students at this time. In order to register, families will be required to submit the documents listed below, along with their child’s latest report card (optional but recommended), and IEP (if applicable).

Kindergarten Registration for SY 2024-25:

All NYC families with children born in 2019 may apply to Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year. Kindergarten families can apply through the MySchools.nyc portal from December 5, 2023 – January 19, 2024. For all who applied online by the deadline, March 27, 2024 is the tentative date that families will receive their child’s Kindergarten offer, viewable in the MySchools.nyc portal. Go the the DOE’s very helpful Kindergarten Enrollment Page for more information.

PS 321 will hold one in-person tour and one virtual info session for prospective families. Our in-person tour will be on Weds., December 6th, 2023 at 5:00pm. Our virtual info session will be on Thurs., November 30th, 2023 at 9:15am, via Zoom. Tours are come-one, come-all, no RSVP required. Prospective families of students from grades K – 5 are welcome to attend. These will be our only tours for this school year. We are not able to accommodate individual tour requests, but the virtual info session will be recorded and posted on our website.

For incoming Kindergarten families who arrive in the school zone after the Jan. 19 deadline: update your address in MySchools.nyc or contact the Family Welcome Center to be added to our zoned applicant waitlist.

PS 321’s tours for the school year were held in December.  We are sorry but we cannot accommodate individual tours. A recording of our 12/08/22 Virtual Info Session is posted HERE.

We do not currently offer Pre-K instruction. For school year 2024-25, a decision is pending on PS 321 having an annex site where we tentatively plan to offer pre-K classes. The decision for the new site will be made at the DOE’s PEP meeting on Feb. 27.

To check the school zone for an address, please use the “Find a School” search tool on the home page on the Department of Education’s website: schools.nyc.gov.
