The 5th Grade is planning a day-long trip to YMCA Camp Mason, a 460-acre campground adjacent to the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. The dates for the 2022 fall trip will be 9/28, 9/29, 10/3 and 10/4 (your teacher will let you know your child’s date). The staff of Camp Mason is experienced with large school groups and we think this will be a great experience, including ropes courses and other outdoor activities, to continue to build classroom community! Each class will travel by coach bus with full facilities, leaving the school at 7:00 am, returning to school around 5:00 pm. We ask that you arrive at school with your child by 6:45 a.m. Please be sure to dress your child appropriately – children should wear fully enclosed shoes (sneakers are fine, Keene-style sandals are not), jeans or medium-length shorts. A rain jacket is required, even if no rain is forecast.
The cost per child is $100.00. If you are paying by check (which we encourage to avoid credit card fees), please give the check directly to your child’s teacher, with your child’s name and “Camp Mason” in the memo. If you need financial help, please let us know on the form below so we can arrange assistance. No child will be excluded for lack of ability to pay.
